Mt. Zion under siege: Will Rome rule Jerusalem?

Friday, February 27th, 2009

The Vatican has its evil eye on Jerusalem! What better place to start their siege against the Holy City than Mt. Zion? Watch for them to fortify their position and launch an all-out attack to undermine Israeli sovereignty, enlisting Jewish traitors and the international community.

It is only a matter of time before the Vatican exercises their evil influences to enforce UN Resolution 181. Will Israel make the most of this grace period, return to God and secure the Jewish homeland or fall prostrate before the Roman EU?

The Vatican’s illegitimate claims to Mt. Zion stem from the extorted belief that Jesus’ “Last Supper” was held in the Upper Room of the traditional site of King David’s Tomb. I am a Christian and trust Jesus held such a meal in Jerusalem, but there is no way to prove it was at such a site and since the bloody Roman Catholic Church states it to be so, I highly doubt it.

Regardless, the allleged “Upper Room” would not be a holy site in light of the New Testament and is never mentioned again after the fact, but the Temple Mount stands alone as “the most holy place.” Isn’t that what the Vatican is really after? Haven’t they coveted the crown of Jerusalem, and its crown jewel – the Temple Mount – since the Crusades? The leopard has not changed its spots!

Some might contend that there isn’t sufficient proof that King David (my forefather) is actually buried on Mt. Zion. However, it is a Jewish belief, it is the Jewish homeland, and it isn’t necessary for Jews to prove anything to the world, as it is honestly none of their business.

If Israel were wise, they would immediately cut off all negotiations, unequivocally state Jerusalem is not for sale, and threaten any Jew who persists in such an error and grievous sin with expulsion from the Jewish community. It’s that serious! Israeli sovereignty is at stake!

Rabbi Avraham Goldstein is leader of the Diaspora Yeshiva (Yeshiva Toras Yisrael) that has been blessed since 1966 to utilize David’s Tomb and the building complex on Mt. Zion for religious classes and services. Goldstein is also Chief Rabbi of the Old City of Jerusalem, and in agreement with all 14 rabbis in the Old City, is convinced that the Vatican’s true intent is to ultimately evict the yeshiva and completely empty the complex of Jews.

“Jerusalem is in danger,” the rabbi warned his American audience, as reported by The Jewish Voice and Opinion, exposing the disturbing fact that the European Union has joined dark forces with the Palestinian Authority to put undue pressure upon Israel to disengage from half the Holy City and cede the Eastern half to the Muslim Arabs.

How can Israel live with half a heart? Why permit occult designs to forge Jerusalem’s future? Why sanction secular politicians to handle such holy issues? Why trust an unholy trinity composed of “Jewish Catholic Knights” (Gary Krupp and David Rosen) and the poisonous Vatican plant (David Bartholdy), Jannes and Jambres and Korah, to have any say in what belongs in the court of the Sanhedrin?

If Israel prostitutes itself and cedes this strategic part of Jerusalem to the Vatican, they will have sold out Jews and Christians, since Christians would have to obtain permission from the Catholic Church to hold services at the site. Why exalt the Roman Catholic Church to such a lofty position? Why fall for the attempt to trump King David at the site or supercede him by towering over his tomb, a Catholic Church over and above his dead body!

As Bar ry Chamish has duly noted, the German-built Dormition Abbey on Mt. Zion (next to the yeshiva) is an exact replica of the German Church that crowned emperors: Charlemagne’s Aachen Cathedral. Can’t we see what spirit is at work here and what plans are in store? UN Resolution 181 demands Jerusalem become a separate, international city that will amount to a long-held Catholic dream of Jerusalem serving as the capital of their Crusader-Kingdom.

The German-Jesuit powers that be are busy reconstructing Europe into the final revival of the unholy Roman Empire of the German Nation that Daniel foresaw wreaking havoc on the Middle East and Jeremiah foresaw affecting the whole world (all of Jacob, the unprecedented Time of Jacob’s Trouble).

What offer could convince the religious authorities to abandon claims to Mt. Zion? Would a trade-off work? Not of empty synagoges in Spain, but how about international guarantees of protection during the construction of the Third Temple on the Temple Mount? What if Israel were offered acceptance of full Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount, complete with the restoration of the sacrificial system and Temple worship?

Wouldn’t the religious prefer such freedom of religion over secular Israeli sovereignty that continues to despise the Jewish heritage and dismantle the Jewish homeland? Not that Israel couldn’t immediately restore the Temple Mount to Jewish hands without worldly approval or international “peacekeeping” support, and that would be preferable but it’s unlikely.

Will the Israeli authorities fall for Europe’s BIG LIE of “peace and security” (and religious freedom and independence upon the Temple Mount) and enable them to station troops around Jerusalem in a clever and deceitful perversion of Bamidbar Rabbah 1,3:

If the nations of the world had only known how much they needed the Temple, they would have surrounded it with armed fortresses to protect it.

Doesn’t Zechariah warn of such Roman wolves in sheep’s clothing? Must Jerusalem suffer a brutal betrayal and rape, with the violent eviction of Jews from half of the Holy City, all of it under brazen Gentile occupation? Doesn’t Daniel warn of Europe’s imminent wannabe divine emperor (promoted by the pagan pope) who would leave his designated place at Mt. Zion and seize and pollute the Temple with his unclean presence, slaughtering all who got in his way?

“Why will you die O House of Israel?” If only Israel and Judah would return and trust in God, none of this reliance on foreign promises (that will prove to be worthless, once again) would be necessary. At least during Jerusalem’s 3 1/2 years of foreign occupation, captive Israel will be reassured by a Davidic messenger in the spirit of Elijah, like an angel of the LORD (Zech. 12:8), that our God will come and save us and cleanse the Temple and liberate Jerusalem.

For Zion’s Sake,

David Ben-Ariel

The Divided Language

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

I was dismayed to learn the other day, that my all-time favourite George Bernard Shaw quote may not in fact have been uttered by him.

Nevertheless, even the misquotation that Britain and the United States are two countries divided by a common language, will ring true with any British Expat who has tried to make their new home in America.

There are hundreds and probably thousands of words that are different or embody a changed meaning or intent.

British people coming to America often assume that they’ve picked up everything they need to know about American English from a lifetime of consuming American movies and television.

There is, undeniably, a huge advantage Britons have over other migrants, just by speaking a variant of the same language. It is also astonishing how much British English has itself become Americanised.

Forty years ago it would have been difficult to find a British person alive who pronounced the word secretary in any way other than the short, clipped sec-rit-tree. These days, that sounds old-fashioned to many people in the U.K as the American sec-reh-tar-ee has taken full root. Mind you in Britain forty years ago, no-one said “hi” and few people knew what a teenager was.

In these globalised days American slang takes only a few months to cross the Atlantic, such as the 90’s fad of adding “not”on the end of sentences, or saying “I’m like” as a substitute for “I thought” or “I said” which has regrettably survived well into the new Millennium on both sides of the Atlantic.

Perhaps it is because of the every day prevalence of American English in Britain that few British Expats realise what a linguistic minefield they are entering when they cross over that big moat.

The very worst attitude to adopt when arriving on these shores, is what the veteran transatlantic broadcaster Alasdair Cooke once referred to as immediately deciding that “….Americans are British people gone wrong.”

There is a long and inglorious history of British sneering at the way Americans speak, often based on ignorant assumptions.

Now of course, we all have our own beefs about American pronunciations. I wince every time I hear the American president say noo-coo-ler for nuclear. I’ve never quite worked out why some Americans say eye-talians for Italians. (Does this mean the country is called eye-taly?) And I feel like inflicting a great deal of real physical pain on someone when I hear, even seasoned American sports broadcasters, call the tennis championship Wimble-ton or even more horribly Wimple-ton – as if the d in Wimbledon is somehow invisible.

But for every one of these ear-sores, we are equal opportunity manglers of American English. Brits routinely mispronounce relatively simple American place names such as Michigan, Houston and Arkansas. And despite pleas from the performer herself, the British adamantly refuse to pronounce Dionne Warwick’s name the way it is pronounced in America – literally war-wick.

In fact, there is a great body of historical evidence that American English is much closer to historical English in England, than the version that is spoken today in modern day Britain.

It may come as a surprise to the sneerers to learn that words such as fall, for autumn, mad for angry, trash for rubbish and scores of other Amercanisms all come from Elizabethan England. Many linguists believe that the accent Shakespeare’s plays would have been performed in would have sounded nothing like the classic renditions we’ve heard by Gielgud or Olivier. These linguists believe that the accent typically heard in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, would had a distinct twang that we would associate today with the west country. A little bit more like, shock of shocks, the American accent.

Indeed, Gielgud and Olivier spoke what we know in Britain as received or BBC English. This is now largely acknowledged to be an upper-class Victorian affectation. It nevertheless became the standard English of public schools and was rammed into the consciousness of the British people with the advent of BBC radio in the 1920s. While it may have created some sort of standard out of a chaotic collection of wildly differing regional dialects, it is an artificial, almost worthless creation that has almost no historical value in the understanding of the way English was spoken.

So if we accept that those early settlers in America took with them some of the vocabulary and sound of historic England, it’s still amazing that the language survived the onslaught of subsequent settlers.

In the second half of the 19th century some thirty million people poured into America, including Austro-Hungarians. Germans, Swedes, Dutch, Ukrainians, Irish, Poles and Russians. By 1890 there were over 300 German newspapers in the U.S.

French was once spoken broadly in a geographical ribbon that stretched from Quebec (where it is still the first language today) to New Orleans. Cajun – a mangling of Acadian – still survives as a language today.

Words poured into the American linguistic landscape from all these groups and others: Cookie came from the Dutch, avocado and mustang from the Spanish, canoe and tobacco from native Americans.

It may be a short history but it has been an intense one. When you really stop to consider it, it’s amazing American English does bear as much similarity to what is spoken in modern day Britain. After all, the Dutch and the Belgian Flemish actually share a border, but often find each other unintelligible.

But even when you’ve been humbled by the historical evidence, it does not prevent the unsuspecting Brit from cocking up (to use a comforting ripe old British expression).

In fact it is because the English is so similar between the two nations that the pitfalls become bigger.

You can make a complete fool out of yourself in the simple act of ordering a cup of tea. Unless you specifically ask for “hot tea” in America you’re just as likely to be served iced tea. (Of course, some would argue that even the hot tea is neither hot nor tea).

Some of the differences are extremely subtle.

A word like jolly in Britain has gained a large range of meanings. There is the jolly Father Christmas of course. But we also say somebody is jolly when they’re drunk, or in the sense of humouring or appeasing: To jolly along. It’s used to describe perks or salacious fun; “I see he’s getting his jollies”. We describe things as being “jolly good”. It’s also used by some British people, usually those who sound a bit like Penelope Keith, in phrases such as “I’m going to jolly well go down there and give him a piece of my mind!”.

In America jolly has only one meaning – merry. Other definitions used on this side of the pond will be greeted with bewildered stares.

Some words are just designed to be confusing. A pavement in Britain is a sidewalk in America – where a pavement means the actual road or street. How potentially dangerous could that be?

I once had an extremely long and strange conversation before I determined that that an aerial is an anttena in America.

Similarly video as a noun refers only to a tape, not the machine. In the States the machine is a VCR.

I quite recently had to carry out some swift damage control when I was taken to a party consisting largely of my girlfriend’s family. My host, kindly introduced me to everyone.

“This is Lee.” she said and then added helpfully, “He’s English.”

“Well spotted!” I replied, a tad sarcastically but meant harmlessly, possibly summoning up a little Basil Fawlty humour. The whole room fell into an uncomfortable silence as I searched desperately for a hole to open in the living room carpet that would envelop me.

Not only was the jovial sarcasm completely misinterpreted but nobody in the room had a clue what “well spotted” meant anyway.

That story does however illustrate what a lonely place being caught in between two cultures can be. This can be compounded by the cruel attitude of friends looking for any evidence that you’ve gone soft in the head when you revisit the U.K

“Hmmmm! You’ve got a twang!” is a typical observation usually accompanied by knowing looks signifying an innate cultural superiority. Then, with all the human empathy found in the act of pulling wings off butterflies they’ll furtively search and pounce upon every piece of newly acquired vocabulary or potentially offensive pronunciation.

Once, when submitting a story to an editor in Britain, she noticed I had repeatedly used the word “lines”.

“Do you mean queues?” she asked.

“Oh yes I do.” I replied, embarrassed by letting an Americanism slip in.

“Mind you, ” she added generously “Line is a much more logical word.”

“Oh I don’t know,” I replied feeling a sudden rush of British nostalgia. “I think queue is quite a charming word.”

“My dear Mr. Carter,” she scolded, in her best schoolmistress voice, “if you’re starting to find your own people charming then you really have gone native!”

And so this is the netherworld we inhabit. Neither one nor the other

But the next time you’re struggling to order a cup of tea, or to make a fool out of yourself in the drug store, or if you’re called a hopeless yank by your British friends, just remind yourself that you’re actually a part of a new breed of hardy internationalists.

Business: “Where Is America Headed To?”, New York Millionaire Wonders

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Hello! Happy new year. May you live a long healthy life and prosper.

According to a study by US dept. of Health & Human Services, 96% of Americans never achieve financial independence. They end up depending on charity, welfare, family, or are forced to keep working past their retirement age.

According to the IRS, 85% of the people reaching age 65 years don’t have even $200 in their bank accounts! US Census Bureau says that 97% of Americans never realize their dreams and desires in life, and are forced to retire on annual income of $10,000 or less!

The average American is $15,000 in debt, not including their homes and car payments.

Parents will have to spend over $150,000+ to raise their kids to the age of 18 years, and will spend another $77,000 to send them to college.

Every day, about 2,200 Americans lose their jobs, while more than 20,000 families lose their homes to foreclosure every year, and another 500,000 file for personal bankruptcy.

Some of the largest US corporations have been continuously downsizing their work force and laying off thousands of people during the past ten years.

America is weakening and sinking deeper into a debt nation. The paradox is that America is the richest and greatest nation on earth, and yet millions of the people live below the poverty level.

Why is it so? Why is it that 1% of the Americans control 37% of all wealth, 60% of all the corporations, and 10% of all the real estate?

One of the reasons is that most people do not know the SECRETS of the RICH and POWERFUL and are ignorant of the dynamics of wealth creation, preservation and perpetuation.

The majority of the people have been misled to believe that to achieve financial security, success and happiness, all they have to do is to go to college, obtain a degree and get a job.

Nothing can be further from the Truth!

To make both ends meet, both husbands and wives have to go to work.

In some cases, some people have two or more jobs: day job, evening job, and weekend job.

They spend every minute of their lives running from one job to the next, and have no time to enjoy the money they make or the company and love of their families.

Both the husband and wife hardly have time for each other or their children.

The children have no role models and are devoid of proper parenting. Some start missing classes, hanging out with the wrong gang, using drugs and committing crimes.

This leads to moral decay, lack of discipline, dropping out of school and life in and out of prison, teenage pregnancy and welfare dependency.

It is pathetic! Even when both parents are working, they still have mountains of bills to pay: mortgage, car, credit card bills and personal loans.

When they lose their jobs, they are unable to continue with the payments, so they lose their car, then their homes and credit line and probably end up on skid rows.

This leads to marital strife, discontent, divorce and depression.

And life in other continents and countries of the world are not better!

Since the economies and the currencies of the other countries of the world depend largely on American economy and currency, whatever happens in America ultimately affects the other countries!

America gives billions of dollars in financial and military aids annually to many countries in the world.

But many of the governments of these countries (especially the developing ones) are corrupt to the bone!

They steal these billions of dollars and salt them away in secret Swiss Bank accounts.

They don’t use it to build manufacturing industries that will create jobs for their country people.

They don’t use it to build the infrastructures to enhance the quality of life of their people.

Their people have no modern amenities and infrastructures, good roads, electricity, running water, telecommunication service, or jobs.

They have no business, no future and no hope!

That explains why some of them dabble in scams, while others escape to seek a better fate in America and European countries.

Instead of giving billions of dollars to these corrupt governments that enrich a few corrupt politicians, why not give the same billions of dollars to American corporations so they can go to those countries and help them build up their economies and create jobs that benefit the people?

That is what American government should be doing, if it is seriously interested in helping people from other countries of the world.

This may help improve international relationships and restore the respect and love that other countries once had for America.

What If TV News Had Covered D-Day?

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Imagine: What if today’s American TV news had been there to cover D-Day, June 6, 1944?

“Good morning, this is Peter Jennings at ABC News in Washington with this special report. The War Department is confirming this morning that Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Normandy, is now in motion. Unfortunately, the news from the battleground is grim for American forces. Despite attacking with the largest military force in history, the Allies appear to have lost this battle before it has begun. We start our coverage with reporter Terry Moran, who is embedded with U.S. Army forces at a stretch of Normandy that the War Department has designated ‘Omaha Beach.’”

Terry Moran: “Peter, here at Omaha Beach, everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong. The Allies sent 29 amphibious support vehicles to this site. Of those, 27 have sunk. We are pinned down by German gunfire. In addition, we now know the entire beach is heavily mined along its six-mile expanse. Observers tell us they expect that more than 2,400 Allied soldiers will die in the next few hours. We now go to reporter Martha Raddatz, who is embedded with forces at Utah Beach.”

Martha Raddatz: “News is no better for the Allies here at Utah Beach. A navigational error placed Allied forces several miles to the north of their intended landing site. As a result, the Allies are running into less resistance than expected, but they are also giving the Germans an opportunity to strengthen their defenses before the attack is joined. It appears that the Allies have committed the crucial mistake that will cost them the war. Now we shift to Juno Beach and reporter Dan Harris.”

Dan Harris: “Here at Juno Beach, the Allies are having to deal more with reefs and shoals than with bullets and grenades. The landing crafts arrived too late to avoid these natural barriers. As a result, an estimated 30 percent of the crafts have been crushed before they could reach the shoreline. The Allies likely will suffer 1,200 dead on this beach alone as Operation Overlord stumbles onward. Back to you, Peter Jennings.”

Peter Jennings: “We now are receiving reports from the small French village of St. Mere Eglise, where we understand Allied paratroopers began to drop last night. The news from there is dire. Scores of U.S. paratroopers have accidentally landed in the town square and are being slaughtered by German soldiers before the Americans can free themselves from their parachutes. Now we go to Katie Couric for a preview of this morning’s ‘Today Show.’ I’m not sure why we’re going to Katie Couric, since she works for NBC, but such is the fog of war. Katie?”

Katie Couric: “Thank you, Peter. This morning on ‘Today’ we will ask the question that is on every American’s mind: Is Operation Overlord the first Allied failure against Adolf Hitler? For that answer, we turn to NBC’s chief military analyst, Ret. Gen. Barry McCaffrey. What is your take, General?”

Gen. Barry McCaffrey: “Paratroopers are missing their targets. Landing craft are arriving late. And now we are getting estimates that as many as 14,000 French civilians will die in this brutal, fruitless attack upon the European continent. What can I say? If Operation Overlord was to have any chance at all against these formidable German defenses, everything had to go perfectly. Instead, everything has gone haywire. The Roosevelt Administration must accept that this mission has failed, that we cannot possibly mount another operation of this magnitude, and that we must consider suing for peace with Hitler. This morning, Katie, I truly fear for America.”

Katie Couric: “Speaking of fear, don’t miss tonight’s breathtaking episode of ‘Fear Factor’. Share the thrills as that ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’ James Cagney attempts to tap dance blindfolded atop a 70-foot flagpole while Hollywood starlet Tallulah Bankhead confronts her loathing of clothing. That’s all tonight. …”

The Superultramodern Universal Communism (SUC)

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Some Background –

As long as there is ego there is badness, not in mere existence but prevailing goodness, often hidden inside the deceptive covers of apparent goodness.

Every man seeks pleasure and happiness. There is absolutely nothing wrong in it. The point is what one has pleasure in.

The one who has pleasure in the welfare of others (only for the sake of the welfare of others) is a good person. And thus I am sure most of the men and women in the world are bad.

- Kedar Joshi

The Superultramodern Universal Communism (by Kedar Joshi) –

Why do we have law and order in our society/community ? Because we believe that everone’s rights are equally important and not just one person’s. So it is the community that is more important than a particular person. This means that according to our beliefs, in fact, it is communism ( in general, universal communism) that is correct, not capitalism. Capitalism is concerned with the welfare of an individual or a relatively small group of individuals, whereas universal communism is concerned with the welfare of the universal community. It is quite obvious that the later is morally good, not the former. At last, these are principles; how they are implemented is a different issue.

The community where communism thrives is a morally good community because to its people it is the welfare of the community as a whole that is more important than the welfare of an individual. This is the ideal and, as far as one has ego, shall never be realised (One is the same as ego, so impossible to realise.). Still it is better to tend to the ideal.

For barbarians even English capitalistic system (and its law and order), for example, is a form of communism. And to the ideal of universal communism I have mentioned, we are barbarians.

Your Unofficial Guide to Fast Credit Repair

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

One of the main financial problems which people apt to go through is credit repair. With diverse agencies and companies offering help on credit repair it is hard to pick the most best option. With the global economic recession, banks require positive credit score prior to providing loans. This makes it necessary to introduce fast credit repair strategies. Luckily, fast credit repair is not as problematic as is portrayed by credit businesses. Thorough and specific details is not needed. You can easily trail the below mentioned techniques and save your credit service expenses.

Once you find out the reason of your problem, its time to bring about a transformation in your lifestyle and financial activities. You can go through your credit statements and concentrate on flawed information and notify your credit companies.

Heedless use of credit cards should be totally side stepped. Credit cards should only be used only in serious need. All additional credit accounts should be closed to prevent overspending. Extra accounts also tend to show up in the annual credit statement and prompt negative scores. Outline and regulate your monthly spending budget. Keep track of your accounts and put a stop to the accumulation of debts. Start accepting that your accomplishment lies in your own hands.

Never fall in the blunder of paying late. Timely payments pledge that you will not face bad credit profile and that your credit score will stay positive. It will also ensure that a long lasting relationship is continued with your lenders. Make the attempt of raising your credit score as this will bring you into a positive light with the creditors and will support you in getting loans in the future.

Politics and Masons (Druids)

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

My ancestors include Rufus King and probably include the likes of Robert the Bruce, Martha Baird Rockefeller and many more agents of hierarchy and pladins of power. I am ashamed to say it is the blood of my forbears who have enslaved so many in this world. These are some quotes that are part of a book I am doing on the Morgans and other Pirates of our past. Please look into what happened to Captain William Morgan but do not believe all you read about John Adams and others in the fallout of his kidnap and murder.

Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to Lafayette in 1823 that went as follows:
“I do not believe with the Rochefoucaults and Montaignes, that fourteen of fifteen men are rogue. I believe a great abatement from that proportion may be made in favor of general honesty. But I have always found that rogues would be uppermost, and I do not know that the proportion is to strong for the higher orders… These set out with stealing the people’s good opinion, and then steal from them the right of withdrawing it by contriving laws and associations against the power of the people themselves.”

“… the archetypal Roman shouldered the White Man’s Burden, the arduous but fabulously profitable task of governing those whom, despite all evidence to the contrary, the Romans judged incapable of governing themselves.” (Lucy Hughes-Hallett from ‘Cleopatra’)

“We have it in our power to begin the world over again.” — Paine, Common Sense, 1776.

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies a theft from those who hunger and are not fed; those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its labourers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.” – Dwight D. Eisenhower, April 16, 1953

“… our mode of teaching the principles of our profession [Masonry] is derived from the Druids … and our chief emblems originally came from Egypt …” [William Hutchinson, Mason, The Spirit of Masonry, revised by George Oliver, New York, Bell Publishing, originally published in 1775, p. 195]

“I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country.
As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.” – President Abraham Lincoln, 1865

I Want To Be A Republican

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

I Want To Be A Republican.

I want fiscal responsibility to be an important part of American politics. I want small government that focuses on protecting and encouraging growth for all citizens. I want to be a Republican.

When Abraham Lincoln saw the hypocrisy of a nation who’s founding principles included the equality of all men he decided to stand up for what we all should believe in. I want to be a Repulican.

When Richard Nixon saw the evil of fighting an un-winnable ideology war and that the means did not justify the ends, he ran as an anti-war candidate. I want to be a Republican.

Where is the Republican who will stand up against the evil war that is taking place in Iraq right now? Where is the Republican who will say that this war is a lie based upon a lie? There weren’t any terrorists with WMD willing to act against the U.S. in Iraq. There ARE in other countries but not Iraq. What happened to Republican prudence? Needless violence is the reason why I can’t be a Republican.

I am an American Buddhist and a recovering catholic and there is no way I can support any politician who condones capital punishment. Many old testament Christians, who like to forget about the legacy and teachings of Jesus Christ, believe that capital punishment is justified in the Bible. The irony is that Jesus Christ was capitally punished to death by the Romans and the Jews. Jesus specifically and numerously spoke against capital punishment and only the blind Christians like Pat Robertson forget it. Capital punishment kills innocent and usually poor black and white people. It only causes more problems for society to deal with: the dead father, mother, son, brother, and friend. I can’t be a Republican.

Many American Christians find it easy to justify war. The act of war is the closest humans can come to evil and Satan himself. War only begets more and more violence and it has never solved any problems, it has only created more. Yet American Christians still think war in Iraq is the right thing to do mostly because they don’t fully understand who they’ve sent our poor off to fight. War destroys human relationship and penalizes the poor and the hungry on both sides. The war in Iraq has not solved one problem it has only created 101,200 more problems for the father and mother, brother and sister, friend and family member of those who have been killed, injured and maimed. I can’t be a Republican.

George W. Bush’s win in 2004 was not the beginning of the end for Democrats, it was the beginning of the end for Republicans. George W. Bush won by the smallest majority of any President in the history of the United States. That is not a mandate and it is not indicative of the need by Democrats to radically alter their image so that it appears like they represent values. The democratic party has always been the party of values and principle.

Why won’t those in the Republican party understand that the battle that is taking place today is one against extremism and fundamentalism and you don’t have to be a Muslim to be guilty of it.

I want fiscal responsibility. I want equality for all men. I want prudence and I want peace. I want to be a Republican.

“My concern is not whether God is on our side, but whether we are on God’s side.”

European Winter Domains Will Suffer Due to the Costlier Price of Crude Oil

Friday, February 13th, 2009

It has been forecast that the Alps biggest 665 ski mountains would be trimmed to 405 by 2045. Savino Bellucci stated that ski resorts will notice the pain prior to then, not due to a decrease in the amount of precipitation merely due to a universal contraction in purchasing ability associated with the price of oil. What about climate change? Investigators have proved that a doubling of carbon dioxide levels will raise floor temps by 5 – 7 Celsius. All the same there remain some open questions. The rate of global warming and the aftermath on the local climate. A couple degrees Celsius heating last century hasn’t been recorded over the last one million yrs. During the conclusion of the glacial epoch 21000 years ago the increase of 3 degrees was over a period of seven to 10 thousand years. Before that Verchaix and Val-d Isere were under thick ice and Val-d Isere would have been the same as the Arctic.

Thus what what does the future bring for mid mountain ski areas towns? Electricity problems will begin to be felt by 2016 to 20, leading to more costs for a ski chalet, ski transfer businesses and ski lift firms alike – so it may well be the end of weekend ski deals. One half of the economy depends upon oil and the French purchases 80 %. Currently the total is 4 percent of gross domestic product. However if the price of oil steps up as expected it will comprise 38 % of GDP, one can envisage the down turn. Europeans will see the cost of agricultural commodities increasing, plant species will change following a modification in rain patterns. People will move out of the area because of the summertime stifling heat. Hydro power will be a valuable resource however it is not obvious whether it will be a bonus since there will be much less precipitation, a lot of water in the winter and less in the spring.
